Here’s how HMPSA is typically used:
- Hot Melt Pressure Senstive Adhesive is supplied in solid form, usually as pellets, blocks, or sticks. These solid forms are loaded into a hot melt adhesive application equipment such as a hot melt glue and applied by roller, nozzle or a gun.
- Hot Melt Pressure Senstive Adhesive exhibits instant tack, which means it quickly develops adhesive properties upon contact with the substrate. When pressure is applied, the adhesive forms a bond with the surface, providing immediate adhesion.
- Once pressure is applied, the HMPSA quickly cools and solidifies, forming a strong and permanent bond. It adheres well to a wide range of surfaces, including paper, plastic, metal, and fabric.
